Are you struggling to figure out how to start your GIS project? Does your research feel overwhelming or beyond your current skills?

Fear no more. We’ll figure it out together. I’m here to help you move forward your GIS project or assignment with clarity and confidence. Whether you’re just beginning with GIS or working through complex spatial analysis, I can guide you every step of the way.

I’m a bilingual educator and GIS specialist with over 20 years of experience supporting learners in higher education. I currently coordinate the geospatial support services at Yale University and previously held the same role at Texas A&M University. I’ve helped hundreds of students, faculty, and researchers in both institutions across all disciplines.

I hold a master’s degree in Land Development and am a doctoral candidate in Urban and Regional Science. I am certified as a GIS Professional (GISP) by the GIS Certification Institute. Although my PhD is on hold, my academic training and research experience continue to strengthen my work as a GIS tutor, consultant, and mentor.

I’ve provided GIS instruction in one-on-one and group settings, both in person and online. I help learners with all aspects of GIS: project planning, data discovery and curation, software training (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.), spatial analysis, cartography, and workflow design. I’ve supported GIS projects in marine biology, environmental science, sociology, public health, crime analysis, urban planning, and supply chain among others.

I’ve included Excel and PowerPoint in my subjects to help you better manage data and present your work effectively.

I tutor in English and Spanish. My tutoring approach is encouraging, flexible, and focused on helping you build confidence with practical skills. Whether you’re learning GIS for a class, developing a capstone, thesis, or publication, or need support with a project, I’m here to help you succeed.

If you’re looking for a GIS tutor who will meet you where you are and help you grow, let’s connect!
