I’m a piano teacher a pianist with 20 years of experience with piano and music general. I hold Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance at Yale School of Music, Bachelor of Music Degree (Honors) also in Piano Performance at New England Conservatory, and have received 9 years of pre-College professional music training at Shanghai Conservatory. As a pianist, I’ve won over 20 International Piano competitions in US, Spain, Russia, Poland, Serbia, etc; have given recitals in four continents; collaborated as soloist with various symphony orchestras and conductors around the world.
As an educator, I’m more than enthusiastic in teaching, tutoring students, helping students achieve their goal. I’m awarded as “Teaching Artist” in Yale University‘s Music in Schools Initiatives Program and worked in the program in consecutive semesters, where i collaborated with New Haven’s public schools to tutor students’ music ensembles, choir and other musical activities. I got lots of classroom teaching experience here.
I’m also selected and hired by Yale University as a secondary piano lesson instructor for two years. I’ve worked with talented advanced students who can play the most profound repertoire, while I also enjoy working with beginner student, teach them how to read notes and how to enjoy music.
I’m also a artistic coach hired in Yale School of Music’s yearly entrance audition. I’ve also privately coached vocalist, string players.
Since 2018 I hold a private piano studios, have taught around 30 students from all types of background, age, goal. Lessons are mostly in 1 one 1 format.
