I'm a fourth-year MD student at Yale School of Medicine. I graduated as a pre-med student with a major in Computer Science from UC Berkeley in 2021. I spent my gap year working as a software engineer for Amazon before joining Yale in Fall 2022.

My experience is in SAT, MCAT, and medical school application tutoring. For the SAT, I scored a 1590 and have helped students craft individualized strategies to maximize their scores. For the MCAT, I scored a 524 (131 Chem/Physics, 132 CARS, 132 Biology/Biochem, 129 Psych/Sociology) and work closely with students to build study plans, identify the right resources, and stay accountable to their goals. Past students have seen significant score increases with my help.

I also provide medical school application counseling. I recently went through the process myself, so I know how daunting it can be—keeping track of requirements, deciding which clinical opportunities to pursue, crafting a school list, asking for letters of recommendation, writing essays—it’s a lot to handle, especially alone. I guide students at any stage in their pre-medical journey, from big-picture strategy to detailed essay feedback. I am well-versed in both AMCAS and AACOMAS, and past students have been highly successful, earning acceptances from top-ranked MD and DO programs.

As a Computer Science major at UC Berkeley, my course of study was non-traditional among pre-medical students. I also spent summers and time after undergrad working in software engineering roles including at Amazon before starting at Yale School of Medicine in Fall 2022. I have experience advising other pre-medical students from non-traditional backgrounds as well as those looking to break into tech.

Excellent Medical School Interview Tutor

Saahil is a great tutor for anyone who is preparing for a medical school interview. He is very patient and asks excellent mock interview questions. His suggestions for improvement are insightful and constructive. He obviously prepared before the tutoring session by reading all the materials I sent him ahead of time. I highly recommend him to any aspiring medical student.
