I have 17 years of violin training, from Suzuki Method to orchestral section-playing in the Aspen Music Festival orchestras and Curtis Symphony Orchestra. In high school, I was concertmaster of Utah Youth Orchestras, and soloed in Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade. I studied with Yuki MacQueen, member of the Utah Symphony, and played numerous chamber and solo recitals. During my sophomore year of college, I produced and recorded a 2-hour digital concert of contemporary violin works which I taught myself. In undergrad, I took lessons from Claire Bourg, a Curtis AD student, and Juliette Kang, Associate Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
My repertoire includes all major concertos (Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Brahms, Beethoven, Bruch, Prokofiev, Berg, Mendelssohn, Mozart, etc.), Bach and Paganini, and orchestral excerpts, as well as more unusual new music.
