Bio

Over the last decade, since graduating from Cambridge with an MSci in Natural Sciences, I have worked as a classroom science teacher, a private educator, and a university and schools consultant across the globe, with students aged 5 to graduate level.

As a college consultant, I offer comprehensive support for all aspects of university applications. While I regularly assist students with Common App and UCAS, I specialise in international applications, guiding US students through the UK...

Over the last decade, since graduating from Cambridge with an MSci in Natural Sciences, I have worked as a classroom science teacher, a private educator, and a university and schools consultant across the globe, with students aged 5 to graduate level.

As a college consultant, I offer comprehensive support for all aspects of university applications. While I regularly assist students with Common App and UCAS, I specialise in international applications, guiding US students through the UK application process and vice versa. As one of fewer than 20 British Council-certified counselors in the US, I provide unique expertise in navigating the UK application process. My services range from university selection and personal statement editing to interview preparation, securing accommodation, and visa applications. I help students understand the nuances of the university system, from course structures, entry requirements, to student life. I ensure students present their best selves, highlighting their academic strengths and suitability for their chosen programs.

As a tutor, my primary focus is math(s), physics, chemistry, and biology. I'm passionate about sharing my love for STEM and consider myself a science communicator as much as a teacher.
My goal is to meet each student on their terms and impart a deep understanding of the subject. We'll start by discussing your aims and assessing problem areas, then create plans to address them. I believe students learn best when relaxed, so I foster a positive environment, where educated guesses are encouraged and wrong answers are just a part of the process.
We'll begin each topic by discussing the relevant ideas and themes, we’ll then work through questions together, before you try some independently.
I know that everyone learns differently and understands concepts in their own way, so I adapt my techniques to fit each individual. What I can guarantee is that in each lesson we will work together to address and understand concepts in a way that makes sense to you.

David helped my daughter with Math Olympiad for Elementary School. He was patient with her and knowledgeable for the content. My daughter was able to understand this particular type of math with his help and was motivated to work on more math questions after the lesson was done.
