I'm Kanika! I am a high school graduate from a magnet public high school ranked in the top 10 in New Jersey. I also graduated with the highest level honors at Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in biochemistry on a pre-med track. I have experience tutoring undergraduate classes, at Purdue's OWL (Writing Lab), and at Kumon North America. All in all, I have experience tutoring for about 3 years and love helping students succeed! In undergraduate classes, I helped with a biology class, where I worked with small groups of 3-4 students who I worked with during classes and served as a resource to outside of classes. As a Purdue OWL tutor, which is a world-renowned writing lab, I was able to help PhD students, graduate students, undergraduate students improve their English grammar and reviewed academic papers and personal statements.

I have taken 4 years of science courses at one of America's top public universities and have gotten no less than an A in all my classes. I love science, especially biology and biochemistry! To continue my passion for science and research, I am also currently doing research at Yale University School of Medicine. In my college classes, I always enjoyed having TAs who were able to explain complex topics to me, and I want to serve as a similar resource to students who struggle with their classes. Because I know how much having a tutor can help with courses, I structure my tutoring with personal lessons, and supplement these classes with practice problems that the student can complete on their own and request help for. This method can also be adjusted for any student who prefers to learn a different way.
