Matt is a current graduate student at the University of Maryland-College Park pursuing a dual master's degree in information science (MS) and history (MA). He received his BA with a double major in classics & linguistics from the University of Mary Washington in 2022. In between, he worked as a public services assistant at Yale University's Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library. He has published and presented papers on the history and political philosophy that include his own translations of Latin, Ancient Greek, and French. Matt currently offers tutoring sessions for Latin, History of Western Civilization, academic and professional writing, and reading comprehension. He emphasizes building an understanding of both the subject and the relevant study techniques to help the student succeed in the class and apply their skills outside the classroom. He has tutored professionally as the university-endorsed tutor for Latin 101-202 and Linguistics 101B. He also frequently guest lectures as events for the Virginia Junior Classical League and the National Junior Classical League.
