Ambitious tutor eager teach students in the sciences

I am a recent health science graduate from Eastern Connecticut State University preparing to apply for medical school. Throughout my undergraduate career I was a teaching assistant and laboratory assistant for two separate courses. I found joy in helping other students better understand the material and being able to form a more personal relationship with my students. I learned about teaching styles by working hand in hand with the professors of the courses I taught. I pride myself in my academic knowledge and hope to spread it to other students wanting to learn.

Physical sciences and the health sciences are the courses I enjoy teaching most, as these courses were the foundation of my undergraduate degree. I continued on to take the MCAT, which I needed a near perfect understanding of the sciences in order to do well. I try to use my understanding as a fellow student to make the material as simple and easy to understand as possible.

While taking my science courses during my undergraduate career I maintained deans list throughout the span of my degree and finished my last semester of college with a 4.0 gpa. Outside of my academic success, I was awarded the outstanding teaching assistant award by the Heath science department for my commitment and dedication to being a teaching assistant.
