Hi, I'm John. I have been a music educator and professional musician for many years, with degrees in music education, educational technology, and educational administration. I have years of experience teaching middle and high school students, adult intensive workshops, and one-on-one tutoring in a large variety of computer applications and music. Important aspects of my instruction include individualized teaching to help my learners lock in to the concepts they want to know and have a fun and enjoyable experience while building skills. I love to see the light bulbs go off for my learners.

I have extensive knowledge in music technology, music theory, music production and have taught all of these in classroom and one-on-one settings. I also have expert knowledge in a variety of computer applications including Logic Pro X, Finale, Photoshop, Office and more. I bring years of professional knowledge in music performance, engineering, recording technique, mastering, instrumental and theory instruction. I have taught week-long intensive workshops as well as tutoring sessions in web design, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, iPad, and many other apps for over 22 years to adult and middle/high school learners.

A great teacher, knows how to teach

It’s one thing to be a musician, another thing to know the technical production side of softwares (E.g Logicpro), and...it’s a whole other thing to know how to teach it. John brings these three components together and is a highly experienced musician, producer and teacher. I am taking ongoing lessons with John and he is helping me grow to become much more proficient in Logicpro.
