I hold a bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and two master’s degrees in business administration and Pedagogy.
My journey in academia began in 2004 when I joined PUCMM as a professor for undergraduate and graduate courses. I taught various subjects, including Introduction to Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Motivation for High Performance, and Human Resources Administration. Additionally, I served as the Psychology Department Director for three years, leading curriculum development and department initiatives. My academic experience includes presenting at four conferences—three in the Dominican Republic and one in Cuba—where I shared my insights on topics in psychology and organizational behavior.
Upon moving to the United States in 2017, I began working as a substitute teacher, which led me to discover a new passion for language education. These early experiences, supporting students with diverse learning needs, prepared me for my current role as a Spanish teacher. As a native Spanish speaker and Hispanic, I am deeply motivated to share my language and cultural heritage with students, making language learning accessible and engaging. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, especially for students who find learning a new language challenging. My goal is to help my students develop confidence and fluency in Spanish, providing them with a skill that enriches their understanding of the world.
With a career spanning multiple disciplines and cultures, I bring a well-rounded perspective and a commitment to lifelong learning, eager to share them with my students. I am confident that my diverse background and dedication to fostering language proficiency will have a transformative impact on my students.
