As an Allied Health Sciences major at the University of Connecticut, I have developed a strong foundation in math and science, particularly in general chemistry and calculus. I have applied this academic background to my work at the university’s Quantitative Learning Center, where I served as a peer tutor for over two years. During this time, I supported students in chemistry and math, helping them strengthen their understanding of course material through individualized support, clear explanations, and collaborative problem-solving.

My tutoring experience has primarily involved working with undergraduate students in a one-on-one or small-group setting. I’ve learned to quickly identify a student’s areas of confusion and adapt my teaching style based on their learning needs—whether that means breaking down complex topics into simpler steps, using analogies, or guiding them through problems at their own pace. I strive to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, no matter their background or confidence level in the subject.

In addition to academic tutoring, I’ve also developed strong interpersonal and communication skills through my involvement in leadership roles and volunteer work, including crisis intervention and peer advising. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with people, listen actively, and provide thoughtful, student-centered support. Altogether, I bring a strong academic background, over two years of tutoring experience, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.

Biology

Biology

I am a dedicated pre-dental student with extensive coursework and hands-on experience in biology, particularly in cell biology, genetics, and anatomy. I have a strong foundation in explaining complex biological concepts in a clear, relatable way tailored to each student's learning style. My tutoring philosophy focuses on active engagement and personalized approaches to help students build confidence and succeed. Additionally, I bring experience mentoring peers in academic settings and preparing for competitive exams!
Chemistry

Chemistry

I’ve worked as a peer tutor at UConn’s Quantitative Learning Center, where I helped students in chemistry and calculus courses. In this role, I’ve worked with students at all levels: clarifying concepts, walking through problems step-by-step, and adjusting my approach to match different learning styles. It's taught me how to explain tough material in ways that make sense, especially when it comes to topics like stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and reaction mechanisms. I also conduct research in an organic chemistry lab focused on synthesizing calcium channel inhibitors.
DAT (Dental)

DAT (Dental)

I scored a 26 on the DAT and am currently applying to dental schools. I have a strong academic background in chemistry, biology, and math as an Allied Health Sciences major at the University of Connecticut. I’ve also tutored peers in chemistry and calculus for over two years through UConn’s Quantitative Learning Center. I’m confident in my ability to help students strengthen both their test-taking strategies and content knowledge across all sections of the DAT.
Graphic Design

Graphic Design

I have practical experience creating digital designs using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator. I’ve designed social media graphics, posters, and presentations for student organizations and personal projects. I’m skilled at combining creativity with effective design principles to produce visually appealing and clear graphics. I enjoy helping others learn how to use these tools to bring their ideas to life, whether for academic, professional, or personal purposes.
Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook

I have hands-on experience managing Microsoft Outlook for academic and personal use, including organizing emails with folders and rules, scheduling meetings, and setting calendar reminders. I’ve helped classmates set up and customize their Outlook accounts to improve productivity and manage deadlines effectively. I’m proficient in troubleshooting common issues like syncing calendars and managing multiple email accounts. My approach combines practical use and quick problem-solving to help others get the most out of Outlook’s features.
