I have dual bachelor's in Music Education and Saxophone Performance, and a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance. My experience in teaching and conducting ranges from elementary school to the collegiate level. As a performer, I have extensive experience in both classical and jazz. I am an active member of the North American Saxophone Alliance, and have attended and performed in multiple conferences and clinics across the country, including the 2021 Regional Conference, where I presented three world premieres for saxophone quartet. As a soloist, I was named the 2020 winner of the Music Teachers National Association Young Artist competition for the state of Connecticut. Additionally, I taught a music theory review class at a post-secondary institution for two years, where I was responsible for tutoring students who were failing their core music theory classes, and under my instruction, all students ended their semesters with passing grades.
Music can be the most fulfilling endeavor; for me, it was life-changing! My goal as a teacher is to act as a guide for my students, and to help them learn to express themselves by develop their own individual voice through music.
Classical Saxophone, Jazz Saxophone Improvisation, Music Theory, Chamber Music
