I have been teaching in the same public school district for 23 years. Currently I teach third grade but have also taught second. I was involved with private summer tutoring for a family over a span of 6 summers. This allowed me to help them retain skills they learned over the school year. I love my job and have always loved being able to work one on one with students to make them successful.

I have taught students with all kinds of personalities and learning styles and understand children learn in different ways. There is not just one approach to fit all learners.

I have been teaching elementary math for 23 years and have used many different programs. Math is an area where each child learns differently and I am able to provide many strategies to help them with this area.

Being a public school teacher I know the skills students need these days to be better readers. I am able to match your child with the right level for their academic needs and work along side them to understand and read fluently.

Children with ADHD may need additional strategies and support for them to show their true academic potential. I have had several students currently and in the past with this diagnosis as well as a child at home. All children can learn they just sometimes need extra guidance along the way.

I have a passion for teaching and would love to help your child feel the same way about learning. I have mastered making learning fun!
