Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m a licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) and nearly a decade of experience working in the buildings sector. I currently work as a Senior Structural Engineer in the Greater Boston area, with project experience spanning wood, steel, and concrete-framed buildings.

I have over five years of experience teaching and mentoring junior structural engineers, including interns and co-op students. My teaching ranges from fundamental hand calculations and structural theory to applied design, Revit modeling, and construction drawing production. I regularly use Revit in practice and enjoy helping students understand not just how to model, but why things are drawn and detailed the way they are.

My teaching style focuses on breaking problems down into clear, manageable steps and emphasizing fundamentals. I rely heavily on real-world examples, sketches, and visual explanations so students can build intuition and confidence. I believe that if you can visualize what a structural element is doing, the math and design decisions start to make a lot more sense.

I’ve learned that people absorb information in different ways, and I adapt my approach to fit visual, hands-on, or discussion-based learners.
