Hey, I'm Amira! I'm a second-year Health Science & Psychology student at Northeastern University.
I've worked as with the AmeriCorps' Jumpstart program, which provided high-quality literacy and vocabulary instruction to Kindergarteners. As I am very passionate about the education field, I love working with students in 1:1 settings, and I am well-versed in handling different learning styles for students of all ages and experience, and I value the input that students might provide me. I have won numerous awards pertaining to AP Research & the AP Capstone Diploma program, and have received scholarships for my academic writing while attending Northeastern.
When not working with others, I work as a research assistant that studies the intersection of neuroscience and music, and have conducted research in health equity regarding various mental disabilities. I have also successfully completed Anatomy & Physiology I, Organic Chemistry I & II, Biology II, Biological Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, College Calculus & Statistics, and Personality, earning me a spot on Northeastern's Dean's List.
