I’m an ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineer from Yale University, where I graduated with distinction. During my time at Yale, I built a strong foundation in advanced mathematics and problem-solving. Along the way, I explored my interest through hands-on work, including experience with Sikorsky Aircraft and collaborating with NASA. My experience within rigorous environments taught me how to break down complex ideas into simple, clear explanations.
I care deeply about teaching and mentoring because I know first-hand the impact mentoring can have. My experience centers around helping students build skills and confidence. I’ve mentored incoming STEM students as they adjusted to college life, guiding them through academic challenges and helping them feel more self-assured in their abilities. Additionally, I worked closely with high school students on the college application process, especially essay writing, where I provided clear, thoughtful, and constructive feedback. Lastly, I have over 100 hours of tutoring on Ringle where I lead one-on-one English lessons for adults; tailoring each lesson to the individual’s goals and learning style.
Across all of these roles I’ve developed a teaching style that is flexible, encouraging, and centered on clear communication and confidence-building. I aim to help students achieve the results they’re striving for while ensuring they understand the fundamentals.
Most of my teaching and volunteer experience has taken place in one-on-one settings, both in person and virtual, allowing me to focus on each student’s individual needs and learning style. I typically work with students ranging from high school through adulthood. I’ve also had plenty of experience working with younger students, especially at the middle school level, through supporting family members.
My experiences have shaped me into a patient, adaptable tutor who knows how to meet students where they are and help them grow with confidence.
