I’m so excited to see your student blossom into a passionate reader who is eager to cultivate a love for the English language and literature. It will be a joy for me to teach and help you wherever your current capabilities fall on the reading spectrum. I am a college student who intends to major in creative writing and have maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout my academic career thus far. I have most experience with several different honors programs offered in the modern high school curriculum. I have also earned the highest scores possible on various national and international English exams such as the ACT and AP & AS level examinations.
I earned a perfect score of 36 on the reading section of the ACT and attained a 34 on the English section during my school years. It can be an incredible challenge to balance standardized test prep with an extraordinary honors course load, and I fully understand as a former student!
I am an AP Scholar with Distinction, and took eight AP exams in high school, with a score of 5 on AP English Language and U.S. History. My tutoring services include test preparation for AP English, as well as curating insightful essays & improving reading comprehension.
I am also a recipient of the AICE Diploma with Distinction issued as part of a college preparatory program from the University of Cambridge. I am available to tutor in AS Level General Paper, English Language, and Literature, which I received an A on. In particular, I attained the highest score on AS Level General Paper in the U.S. as part of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. Together, we would improve on analysis of discursive and literary text, understanding of the passages, and usage of figurative language devices in your writing.
