I have always yearned for the opportunity to give back to the community from the information I have gained so far through my life. My main focus is that dedication to your work is what will make you successful. I believe with the right type of assistance, any student has the ability to make themselves excel.
As a Mu Alpha Theta member (Math National Honor Society), I have recorded an average of 90% or above in all math classes from freshman to junior year. This includes exceptional performance in geometry, algebra 2, and precalculus, all of these classes being at the honors level. I have the ability to teach all math subjects from elementary math all the way up to algebra 2. During my sophomore and junior years, I tutored 10 students for 2 hours each sunday on math concepts that would be essential for them when they encountered higher levels of thinking.
In college, I was able to obtain a 3.93 GPA, graduating magna cum laude while taking classes in a rigorous cirriculum to prepare for medical school. These classes involved intro bio, physiology, gen chem 1 and 2, organic chemistry 1 and 2, as well as other upper level science courses needed for my major. I worked as a TA for the chemistry department doing one semester in organic chemistry and another in general chemistry based on recommendations from my organic chemistry professor. The students I was in charge of assisting were consistently scoring at the top of the class in their exams, which only added to my desire to continue helping students understand and master material.
I am typically free after 6:30 during the weekdays, and have very flexible hours during the weekends. If online tutoring is preferred over in-person, I would be more than happy to conduct a tutoring session over video.
