I am not only a native Spanish speaker but I also have the college education in my mother tongue. She then gave me the most thorough and accurate language skills assessment test I have had since being placed at the Instituto Cervantes in Manhattan. She was immediately able to recognize my strong and weak points. Not only that, but she has since designed a curriculum to address my unique needs and interests. She sends me tailored homework assignments over email (everything from writing poetry to discussing true crime) that keep me immersed in the Spanish-speaking world when I am not in class. I would highly recommend Marisol, and I intend to continue studying with her.

Phenomenal Teacher and Wonderful Person!
Marisol is not only a fantastic teacher, but she is also an incredible, caring person! She creates thoughtful, differentiated, and engaging lessons. My short time with her has already resulted in significant improvement in my Spanish. Marisol tailors her lessons each week to best support my learning, and she focuses on my areas of greatest need (speaking in particular). Her lessons cater to different learning styles through the use of visuals, music, podcasts, etc. She consistently gives positive reinforcement and praise, which I find very motivating. Our time together flies by, and learning with her is the absolute highlight of my week. She exceeds my expectations, and I feel lucky to be her student.
