Following my studies for a B.A. in Philosophy at Yale University, with coursework in political philosophy, constitutional law, ethics, and advanced analytical writing, I developed a strong commitment to supporting students in building critical-thinking and writing skills. My academic and professional focus has centered on college-level academic writing, personal statements, and college application essays, helping students articulate their ideas clearly, structure arguments effectively, and present themselves thoughtfully and authentically in high-stakes academic contexts.
My passion for teaching was reignited after I served as a Teaching Assistant for the Law & Ethics Summer Program at Tufts University. In this role, I supported instruction for an intensive discussion and writing-based program focused on law, ethics, and public policy. I facilitated discussion sections, collaborated with faculty on curriculum and discussion design, and provided substantive written feedback on analytical essays and ethical case analyses. I also served as a primary academic point of contact for students, offering individualized guidance on reading strategies, writing clarity, and college-level academic expectations.
My academic training emphasizes close reading of complex texts, structured argumentation, and clear, disciplined writing—skills that directly inform my ability to tutor college-level writing, critical reading, and admissions essays across a range of subjects in the humanities and social sciences.
I have eight years of teaching and tutoring experience across both one-on-one and structured academic settings. I have taught students of all ages throughout my career— from young children learning to read, to high school seniors (successfully!) applying to their dream schools, to editing Ivy-League level academic essays. My tutoring approach emphasizes clarity, structure, and skill-building—helping students learn how to read carefully, write coherently, and articulate their ideas with confidence and independence.
