I am a small animal general practice veterinarian with four years of experience managing medical and surgical patients. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Duke University, as well as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Tennessee.
I specialize in tutoring biology, public health, epidemiology, and veterinary sciences, and I provide academic support and mentorship for pre-veterinary and veterinary students.
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and highly practical. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts—not just memorize them—by connecting foundational science to real-world clinical and public health applications.
During veterinary school, I ran our tutoring program and worked extensively with pre-vet and veterinary students. I also have experience supporting undergraduate and graduate biology and public health students, as well as adult learners returning to science coursework. I assist with coursework, exam preparation, concept review, case-based learning, and professional mentoring, including veterinary school preparation and career guidance.
My goal is to make complex material approachable, build confidence, and help students succeed academically and professionally. I also hope to instill an appreciation for the weird and wonderful world of medicine and biology.
