I am currently a medical student at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, where I am completing my Doctor of Medicine degree. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brooklyn College (CUNY), where I developed a strong foundation in core biological sciences, including genetics, cellular biology, and human physiology. My medical education further strengthens my understanding of these subjects and allows me to connect foundational biology concepts to real-world clinical applications, which is especially helpful when tutoring students who want both conceptual clarity and practical relevance.
I have several years of experience tutoring and teaching students across a range of ages and settings. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a tutor and peer mentor at Brooklyn College for over two years, providing one-on-one and small-group tutoring in a range of biology and math subjects.. In this role, I supported college-aged students by breaking down complex material, teaching effective study strategies, and helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. I also served as a peer mentor, guiding new students as they adjusted to college-level coursework and academic expectations.
In addition to formal tutoring, I have extensive experience teaching and working with children in both educational and community-based environments. As a volunteer with Bobcat Kids in New Haven, I teach children about healthy eating through interactive activities and hands-on food preparation, adapting my teaching style to be age-appropriate and engaging. I have also worked as a gymnastics coach, planning and leading lessons for young children, which strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, maintain patience, and adjust explanations to different learning styles. Across all of my teaching experiences, I emphasize approachability, clear explanations, and helping students feel supported as they master challenging material.
