Hi! My name is Nora and I am a 2nd year medical student. I graduated from college in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Biochemistry. I began medical school during the fall of 2023. Being in medical school has helped me develop creative ways to teach myself and my peers complex topics. I utilize a number of different strategies to help my students work through problems, and truly understand the material rather than rote memorization.

I love biology, biochemistry, general chemistry and all things science! I can teach all levels ranging from elementary to college level courses. Since I am enrolled in school myself, I find that I am able to connect with my students very well and can adapt to different learning styles, understand how different teachers/professors work, and even provide advice and tips outside of simply teaching them material.

In addition to being a medical student, I am a certified EMT. My academic journey and experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of complex scientific concepts and effective study strategies.

I previously served as a biology teaching assistant for 2 year where I collaborated closely with the professor to enhance student comprehension of challenging material. I organized and led weekly review sessions, dedicating up to 20 hours per week to tutoring and mentoring college students. My approach prioritizes active learning, tailoring sessions to each student's needs, and focusing on their areas of improvement for optimal success.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have firsthand knowledge of standardized test preparation, having successfully taken the MCAT and excelled in medical school exams. I understand the pressures of rigorous academic environments and can offer practical study techniques, exam strategies, and application assistance to help students reach their fullest potential. I am passionate about fostering a supportive learning environment and am dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.
