I'm Betty! I'm currently in my final semester at the University of Connecticut, completing a double major in English and French. I've made the Dean's List every semester at UConn and I'm a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I have some experience tutoring middle school and high school students in French, mostly helping with one-time special projects, such as presentations and essays.

I also have extensive copyediting experience and I've been editing my friends' essays since high school; even today most of my friends ask me to proofread their graduate school essays and professional correspondence. I love hearing back from friends and students about their grades and knowing that I helped them achieve!
I've been studying French for over 10 years; I love the language so much I decided to make it my second major at UConn! I spent my entire junior year studying abroad in Paris, taking classes at the Sorbonne (CCFS and Paris III).
As the daughter of an editor, I have lifelong experience with proofreading. From January to May 2019 I was the copyediting intern for Disability Studies Quarterly and from May to August 2019 I completed an editorial internship at Globe Pequot Press, an imprint of Rowman & Littlefield.
If you have any questions about my experience or want to schedule a session with me, please contact me and I'll respond within two days!
