I am a fourth-year medical student in Connecticut. I am a CT native and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BS in Physiology & Neurobiology and a BA in Global Health (go Huskies!) in 2022. I tutor for many school subjects K-10 (math, biology, chemistry), ACT/SAT, and MCAT.

As someone who has been through the medical school admissions process, I have both personal and professional experience with studying for the MCAT, reading and editing medical school applications, and interviewing for schools. I am also a student interviewer at my medical school. I am equipped to help prospective medical students at each stage of the admissions process and I want to use what I have learned throughout the process and pass along the wonderful advice I have been given.

The medical school application process is certainly daunting, but I am excited to be a resource for students looking for some guidance through the application cycle! I am ready to help with everything from picking schools, to editing your personal statement and Work & Activities, to interview practice, and more.

Patient, creative, and helpful

Bhavana is an incredible tutor who helped me with brainstorming ideas and editing my personal statement. She knows exactly how to frame a situation in a way that is compelling and showcases who I am as an applicant and the type of physician I hope to become. She asked the right questions to help put my experiences onto the paper & guided me through the analysis of what I learned from each interaction. She is a phenomenal aid in the difficult application process. I definitely recommend her for any medical school application help!!

Amazing and honest!

I love how down to earth Bhavana was when reviewing my application for medical school. She gave amazing feedback that was clear and genuine and helped me be more practical in my decision on whether to apply this cycle or not. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Knowledgeable and personable tutor

Bhavana has been so helpful as I’m writing my medical school secondary essays! She gives very honest and constructive feedback during our sessions. Bhavana has helped me by reminding me to reflect on how my experiences made me feel, which is very beneficial for medical schools where the best approach is “show and not tell.” She helped me adapt my thinking to better approach answering secondaries and my writing really improved as a result! I would definitely recommend Bhavana to anyone working on secondaries, personal statements, or any kind of writing:)

Super helpful!

Bhavana was really helpful in her feedback on my medical school secondaries. She was really engaging and perceptive to my thoughts and concerns and she gave great advice, not only on my content but also on how to approach writing secondaries in general. I am very satisfied overall with my session and highly recommend her!
