I am currently a resident physician at UCONN. I graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in May 2-2023 and received a BA from SUNY Binghamton with a major in Biology and a minor in Italian in December 2017 and achieved both a cumulative and science GPA of 3.97. I graduated summa cum laude.
I have tutored many subjects in the past from elementary school to adult level ranging from Anatomy, Anki, Biology, Biochemistry, Intro Chemistry, Genetics, Italian, and Physics. I am equally comfortable tutoring one-on-one as well as in a group setting, as I have done both. During my time at SUNY Binghamton, I was hired as an Educational Opportunity Tutor where I tutored since my freshman year. I also served as a TA for Cellular and Molecular Biology, as well as 2 Italian classes. After undergrad, I was an ESL tutor (as a volunteer) where I helped students work with mastering the English language. During my time in medical school, I have tutored Anatomy, Anki (a spaced repetition study software), and am qualified to teach Hematology.
I have seen past students I have tutored excel and increase their grades exponentially. I will always look for a different way to explain a difficult concept and encourage students to ask questions. For anatomy sessions, I have created extensive and interactive presentations including questions I created. I have similarly developed lesson plans for intro chemistry (my most popular subject) if a student wishes. For my other subjects, most of the time students come to me with specific problems/questions/homework that they wish to complete together. I always will modify my sessions based on the student's interest.
I am passionate about learning and enjoy when individuals pick up on this enthusiasm and revisit the subject matter we are studying with a new perspective. I love tutoring, as I have a passion for teaching and helping my students grow. I aspire to continue teaching throughout residency and beyond. I look forward to hearing from you!
