I bring over seven years of experience teaching mathematics at the high school level and more than a decade of tutoring students in math across a range of ages and skill levels. My educational background includes a strong foundation in mathematics, supported by a bachelor's and master's degree each in mathematics and curriculum and instruction as well as certifications that prepare me for both classroom instruction and individualized tutoring. In my teaching roles, I have taught Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Precalculus, gaining extensive experience with curriculum planning, standards-based instruction, and student assessment.

My teaching and tutoring experience spans multiple contexts, including traditional high school classrooms, one-on-one tutoring, and small-group settings. I have worked with students for both short-term academic support and long-term skill development, adapting my approach based on individual learning needs. Over the years, I have supported students ranging from middle school through high school, including those who needed remediation, enrichment, or help building confidence in math. These experiences have allowed me to develop flexible strategies that work in both structured classroom environments and personalized tutoring sessions.

I break complex mathematical ideas into manageable steps, connect concepts across topics like algebra and geometry, and use real-world examples to reinforce learning. With over ten years of tutoring experience, I am skilled at quickly identifying gaps in understanding and adjusting instruction to help students make meaningful progress.
