I am currently a junior at the University of New Haven working toward my bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science with a concentration in biology and minor in environmental sciences. I have over a year of tutoring experience with high school students. I prefer an approach where the student and the tutor can be partners, as I believe it nurtures open dialogue, is more comfortable for the student, and is a strong foundation for success. I have found tutoring in one on one sessions most rewarding and most beneficial for the student.
In my high school years, I maintained A's and high B's in all biology and chemistry courses. In college, I continue to strive for the same success and want to provide the same sense of pride and accomplishment for my tutoring students. I have also taken courses in forensic methods and physical methods, which adds to my experiences and techniques.
Along with my successes in science courses, I have also excelled in high school English, and I consider writing to be one of my greater passions. I have written and published a collection of poetry. I have many other projects in progress in the areas of creative writing, fiction, novels, and short stories, further broadening my literary repertoire.
