My name is Michael C. and I have been an educator for over 25 years. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science/Child Counseling and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration. I teach with great creative sense and a demonstrated ability to work in an environment conducive to learning, In my teaching I use a cross – curricular approach, integrating all the subjects being taught. I am adept in learning style assessment, performance assessments, and behavioral/cognitive skills development. I am also experienced in Edmentum, the individualized computer learning program. Moreover, my on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set. I have had a varied range of teaching experience from a 4th grade self-contained classroom to Middle School Math, Social Studies and American History as well as Middle School/High School Theatre Arts teacher/director.
I have a solid educational foundation and a passion for teaching. I am also sole proprietor of C&C Multi-School Players, and have performed, produced, and directed large scale musicals with tremendous success. I believe that I am not just a teacher, but a mentor, helping students to grow as people while expanding their horizons and helping them achieve their dreams. I hold myself as well as my students to a high standard and hope to share my love of learning. I also strongly embrace the needs of the whole student, academically and socially.

I was able to take my experiences as a student and use them to create many ways in which my students are able to understand and seek out the correct answer. I have developed my math teaching skills under the premise that each student may see a math problem in a different way, and therefore may need to take different approaches to arriving at the answer.
