Hi, I’m Deanne and I have always enjoyed being in the academic setting. My undergraduate degree is in History and Psychology and I have two MA degrees: one in Theology and the second in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. I have been working in the field of education and academics for close to twenty years. Over these past years, I have enjoyed working with both middle and high school students.
Every student’s situation is different and all students learn in a variety of ways; it is one of the reasons that I enjoy tutoring one on one. I work with students who are looking for extra help to maintain their desired academic standing, others who are behind in their coursework and need the one on one attention to catch up to their peers, or students who, for whatever reason, are not able to attend school. I enjoy tailoring coursework and going the extra mile for my students.
I love literature and have worked with a number of classic high school texts including, but not limited to, The Great Gatsby, the Crucible, Oedipus, Of Mice and Men, Catcher in the Rye and The Things They Carried.
Certified in K-12 Social Studies. Areas of expertise are World History (Western Civ), United States History, Geography, Sociology, Area Studies and Psychology
