Hi, I'm Greg Garner, an English Teacher at a high school with many years of teaching experience. I am a Special Education teacher that is also certified in Regular Education teacher. Teaching students of all level and abilities in a high school has afforded me great experience in helping students. Besides working in a high school setting, I have worked with both elementary and middle school students in the past. I am certified in both New York and Connecticut in multiple certification areas.
As stated above, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. I enjoy helping students succeed, thereby helping them to feel both confident about themselves and school work. I have the tools and knowledge to help build strong skills. I specialize in English and Social Studies.
I am a laid back individual who dedicated to the students I work with. It is important to work alongside the family of the student as well so everyone can help maximize student potential. I believe ALL students can succeed.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
