Hey my name is Neil and am currently in my final year pursuing an undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Connecticut with a minor in Dramatic Arts. Hey my name is Neil and am currently in my final year pursuing an undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Connecticut with a minor in Dramatic Arts. I have been studying Spanish for about 8 years but my interest and love for Spanish truly began my sophomore year of high school. At first I struggled to grasp the language and its concepts but through hard-work Spanish became a passion for me and something I want to share through tutoring and education.
I tutored throughout high school and plan to pursue a certification in teaching after I graduate in Spring 2021. My favorite part about tutoring is the ability to change someones outlook on the subject area. I also love how tutoring provides the opportunity for real time practice of the language with others.
As previously mentioned I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Spanish. During my time in undergrad I have had multiple opportunities to practice the language with multiple professors and students at the university across diverse subject fields in Spanish including topics in grammar, literature, culture as well as classes relating to performance art within Latin America. I also spent a semester abroad studying Spanish at La Universidad de Granada in Spain taking courses related to fields such as Spanish grammar, culture, literature, and politics.
I hope to provide help with the Spanish language specifically to beginning and intermediate level students and can provide a flexible schedule. If interested feel free to inquire about tutoring.
