I have recently completed my graduate studies in elementary education. I have been subbing for Plainville public schools for a few months and will continue during the 2015-16 school year. My passion is to see students succeed by celebrating and using their strengths. I love to guide students to understanding concepts. I have recently completed my graduate studies in elementary education. I have been subbing for Plainville public schools for a few months and will continue during the 2015-16 school year. My passion is to see students succeed by celebrating and using their strengths. I love to guide students to understanding concepts. I reassure frustrated students that through failure comes success and that through hard work and effort, success is achievable.
Growing up I was not a good reader. As I was studying for my Masters, I learned valuable strategies that I have practiced with many students and wish I had learned growing up.
I have studied the Common Core and believe that, as a world power, we are competing against other countries to be the best. I understand that there is much pressure with teachers and students to live up to the rigor, however, if we successfully follow through with the high goals and expectations of the Common Core, then we will see great results.
I work very well with young children. I enjoy being a part of the learning experience and through excellent behavior management and differentiated instruction, I can confidently say that I am an excellent teacher. I strive to see academic growth for all of my students.
I enjoy teaching the different tricks that the English language is full of. I find many games and activities that engage readers and writers. Learning can be fun.
If you want to have fun while learning with a young, fun teacher, then I am your best bet. The world is rich with information! Let's learn together!
