I received my MS Education and am a CT certified Social Studies/History teacher. This past year I worked as a substitute teacher covering grades 5-12 in all content areas. I work with children in the classroom and individually. I believe a tutor has to have a sincere interest not only in the material being taught but a genuine regard for the student being tutored. My method is to first see what works well with the student and then mold my tutoring style around the student's needs. My objective is to present the material in a way that is understandable so that the student can gain confidence in their own learning ability.
