Hi, I'm Juliana! I have a bachelor's degree in English/Secondary Education, a master's degree in English Literary Studies, and I am currently working on my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I have experience tutoring both remote and in-person from the 5th grade to the graduate level.
Previously, I was a high school English teacher. I have experience with SAT prep, reading, writing, rhetoric/debate, creative writing, public speaking, and college essay workshops. I have also worked at a writing center on a university level and have proofread papers ranging from undergraduate to graduate programs.
I have presented at both English/Literature and Education conferences within the United States and England.
Since then, I have worked at universities assisting students with adjusting to college, college applications and essays, and ensuring that students graduate in a timely manner (degree auditing). I have worked with both US students as well as remotely with students in Peru for college essay workshops.
My tutoring sessions have ranged from group sessions to individual/private lessons and are an hour long. I have a one-hour cancellation policy in which students must notify me one hour before the session begins if the session needs to be rescheduled/cancelled.
