I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have practiced as a bedside nurse for over eight years in acute care hospital settings, including step-down and high-acuity units. During this time, I have worked as a charge nurse and was honored with a Nurse Preceptor of the Year award for my commitment to teaching and mentoring new nurses. My clinical experience, combined with my medical training, allows me to tutor nursing students in a clear, structured, and exam-focused manner, particularly for NCLEX preparation, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and medical-surgical nursing.
Teaching has been a consistent part of my professional role. As a nurse preceptor, I have trained nursing students and newly hired nurses in one-on-one clinical settings, focusing on clinical reasoning, patient safety, prioritization questions, SATA question strategies, and effective test-taking approaches. In medical school, I continue to tutor through a peer-to-peer academic support program, where I teach one lecture each week to first-year medical students on foundational medical topics.
