As an educator with over a decade of experience in teaching and instructional leadership, I bring both passion and proven effectiveness to tutoring. I hold a Sixth-Year Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Hartford, graduating summa cum laude in both programs. My Connecticut certifications (#092 for Intermediate Administration and #013 for Elementary Education K–6) reflect my deep preparation in both classroom instruction and educational leadership.
I have taught and supported students from diverse backgrounds in grades K–6 across multiple school settings. Most recently, I served as a STEM Project-Based Learning Specialist and Challenge Resource Teacher for grades 3–5. In this role, I developed and implemented interdisciplinary math, science, and engineering curricula and worked closely with gifted and advanced learners. I also facilitated professional learning for teachers and led school-wide initiatives in literacy, project-based learning, and cultural responsiveness. My previous roles include 5th grade classroom teacher, data team leader, summer school math instructor, and tutor in reading and special education. These experiences have equipped me to tailor instruction to meet students’ unique academic needs while building their confidence and independence.
I approach tutoring with warmth, patience, and a student-centered mindset. I use inquiry-based learning, formative assessments, and culturally responsive strategies to ensure students stay engaged and make meaningful progress. My goal is not only to help students improve academically but to ignite their curiosity and help them see themselves as capable, successful learners. I look forward to supporting students through individualized, empowering instruction.
