I hold a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Kansas and have over 15 years of experience teaching and tutoring English to learners of all ages and levels. My career has taken me around the world, with roles at universities in the U.S., South Korea, and Kuwait, as well as in K-12 classrooms and adult learning centers. I’ve worked in both formal academic settings and one-on-one tutoring environments, helping students improve fluency, grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and overall confidence in English.
My teaching style is flexible, student-centered, and goal-oriented. I tailor lessons to match each learner’s needs—whether that's academic English, conversation skills, test prep, or everyday communication. I incorporate real-world materials, structured activities, and plenty of speaking practice to keep students engaged. For younger learners, I bring creativity, patience, and a strong foundation in early language development. For adults and college-level students, I emphasize clear structure, cultural understanding, and academic support.
In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve tutored school-aged children in both the U.S. and abroad, and worked extensively with international students at Colorado State University through advising and instruction. I’ve also taught ESL to adults at community colleges and training centers. I’m passionate about helping students succeed—whether they’re learning English for school, work, or everyday life. I look forward to helping you meet your English goals!
