I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and have over 15 years of experience teaching guitar, electric bass, and music theory to students of all ages and skill levels. I began teaching private lessons in 2008 and have since worked in both one-on-one and group settings, in person and online. My teaching experience includes working with elementary through adult learners, and I currently serve as the Director of Vocal Music at a public high school, where I teach music full-time.

My instructional approach is student-centered and adaptive—I tailor each lesson to meet the individual goals, learning styles, and pace of my students. I focus on building strong technical fundamentals, encouraging creative expression, and developing musical literacy through ear training, theory, and performance-based learning. Whether a student wants to prepare for auditions, learn to play by ear, or understand the deeper structure of music, I create a personalized path to help them succeed.

In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve taught music in after-school programs, led performance ensembles, and helped students prepare for contests, honor ensembles, and recording opportunities. My lessons are engaging, structured, and always designed to make learning music meaningful and enjoyable.

Composition (Music)

Composition (Music)

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and have been composing and teaching music since 2008. I took additional coursework in composition during college and wrote original works for my senior recital and various campus ensembles. I teach both traditional and modern approaches, using Logic Pro for digital composition and Dorico for notation. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re just starting or refining your compositional skills.
Ear Training

Ear Training

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and over 15 years of teaching experience, I specialize in helping students develop strong aural skills. My training included advanced coursework in ear training, sight singing, and solfège, and I’ve taught these concepts in both private lessons and classroom settings. I focus on interval recognition, chord identification, melodic dictation, and rhythmic accuracy—using both traditional methods and interactive tools to make ear training engaging and effective for all levels.
General Music

I’ve been teaching private lessons in guitar and bass guitar since 2008, helping students of all ages develop solid technique, musicality, and confidence. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, I combine formal training with real-world playing experience. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals—whether they’re learning basic chords, exploring fingerstyle or slap bass, reading notation, or diving into improvisation and theory. I create a relaxed, encouraging environment that supports growth and makes learning enjoyable.
Sight Singing

Sight Singing

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and over 15 years of experience, I specialize in teaching sight singing to students of all skill levels. My training included extensive work in solfège, fixed and movable do, and rhythmic and melodic reading.
