Hello, my name is Gabby! First of all, I love science and I love teaching science! I was a classroom teacher for 6 years before taking a step back to be a stay-at-home mom. My passion for education has not changed in that time. Since leaving the brick-and-mortar schools, I have only gained experience teaching and tutoring. I'm confident in my ability to help students find success in the classroom and I'm eager to help. I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. In addition, my Colorado teaching license is still active for grades 7-12 in Secondary Science.
I enjoy educating both high school students and collegiate students. I am able to provide instruction to nearly any high school-level science course, with the exception of physics. For college courses, I am most comfortable with General Chemistry 1 and 2, Biology, Microbiology, and Anatomy and Physiology and the associated labs that go with these courses. I understand that education has to have a touch of individualism, no two learners are the same. I am very flexible with trying new approaches to teaching and leading. I am always learning new ways of honing my skills as an educator through my students and I encourage students to ask questions and communicate with me as much as possible.
I hope to help you find success in your courses! Please reach out to me with any questions you might have, I am quick to respond!
