One of my television news directors once told me "You were made for television." I was too modest at the time to realize exactly what he meant but over the years I've come to realize that video production IS my life. It's what I am most passionate about and what I have the most fun doing and I think the field of video production affords the same opportunity for others to find great satisfaction in this type of work. I've taught video production at the community college level and helped mentor a Junior High School television production class in my school district since 2006. For me, teaching has multiple rewards, watching people grow, embrace a craft and take it to new levels with their own imaginations, inspiring me at the same time with their enthusiasm and creativity. I can take those imaginations, guide them and help polish the rough edges on their creative productions so that students will continually improve their work. Thanks to rapid, constant technological advancements, the world of video production just gets more and more exciting. My goal is to infuse students with that excitement, make sure they have a lot of fun a long the way and learn skills that will serve them well for a lifetime.
