I recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in Environmental Studies with a minor in geology. My degree was heavily focused on the technical applications of environmental science, and I earned a 3.89 GPA, graduating with distinction. The environmental science curriculum at CU was rigorous; my coursework involved ecology, data analysis, policy science, technical writing, microeconomics, applied statistics, and more. For many of my core projects, I was responsible for the writing element, from drafting to proofreading to citations. Completing a minor in geology from one of the world's top geological institutions required learning the skills used in modern earth science problem-solving. These skills include data analysis, precise technical writing, and basic earth science topic mastery. I am a passionate writer and aspiring environmental scientist.
In my senior year of college, I worked as a lab assistant in an applied statistics course. In this role, I worked directly with students to analyze environmental datasets and produce technical written reports. I am a patient person and will take the time to guide students in the right direction. This experience helped me realize that my ultimate goal is to teach environmental science. There are many incredible topics within our field, and I am excited about helping students realize their potential!
