I am a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with an emphasis on literacy and expressive/receptive language, amongst other specialties. My undergraduate degree is from Purdue University (Indiana) with a minor in Psychology and emphasis in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. I have a PreK through 12th grade special services certification and state licensure. I am a licensed, experienced speech-language pathologist with certifications in 3 states.
Aside from education, I am a mother of four children who have all, in some way, struggled academically. My calling is driven to help others, much like my own children and the students I've served, to navigate the tough stuff in school so that learning becomes 1) less stressful 2) doable! 3) fun.
I offer a free 30- minute consultation in order to ascertain what your needs and goals are. My approach, which consists of lesson plans and explicit learning, is cultivated to your learning style to promote engagement, understanding, and success.
