I'm Asaf, a native Hebrew speaker with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from Ben-Gurion University and an MA in Arabic Studies from Bar-Ilan University in Israel.
My passion for languages began during my undergraduate studies, when an inspiring Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha) instructor sparked my interest in Arabic and motivated me to pursue graduate studies in the field. Since then, I have combined academic training with practical teaching and mentoring experience.
During my undergraduate studies, I provided private tutoring to students struggling with subjects such as Introduction to Islam, Arabic grammar, and spoken Arabic. Later, while working as a geopolitical analyst, I taught the Arabic alphabet and basic grammar to colleagues and regularly mentored employees on topics related to the Middle East and North Africa.
My professional experience as an analyst, manager, and mentor has helped me develop the ability to understand how students think and identify the challenges they face when learning a new language. I have also translated Arabic texts into English, giving me valuable insight into the differences between Arabic and English ways of expression and communication.
In addition to Arabic, I have been teaching Hebrew for approximately two years to students of different ages and proficiency levels. My lessons cover conversational Hebrew, Modern Hebrew, and Biblical Hebrew.
