My son worked with Sam for several weeks to see if he could improve his score in SAT reading and SAT math. He did fairly well on his initial SAT, but we felt that working with a tutor might help him raise his score. Before my son began his work with Sam, my wife and son were not overly enthusiastic about spending the money and time for the tutoring sessions. However, once the tutoring sessions began, this lack of enthusiasm melted away quickly. Sam not only had a very strong grasp of the subject material, but also a solid familiarity of the tricks and strategies that will facilitate a strong performance in taking the test. Sam is a great teacher, knows the material, and knows how to make the most out of the time spent in the tutoring sessions. My son took his second SAT test yesterday and said that he felt like he really nailed this one; he felt very confident. Although we will not know the outcome of this second test for a few weeks, we feel confident that my son's score will improve significantly. Thank you Sam! Update: Okay... My son's SAT scores came in. Working with Sam, he raised his SAT reading score 140 points, and his SAT math score 110 points. Bravo!!!

Sam is knowledgeable and skilled at coaching and encouraging my son to practice reading exercises for the SAT. So far he's received good scores on the reading and vocabulary review. My son continues to practice on his own in the study guide.
