Hi! I’m Sarah :) I was a classroom teacher for 20+ years, and I’ve been tutoring most of that time too. Before distance learning started, I had a private tutoring practice in person and now I work as an online tutor with students all across the country. I’ve also worked as a private teacher for a family whose child did not attend traditional school. I’m a reading specialist, and I’ve coached new teachers as they build their own classroom practice. I love working with students from elementary school through college one-on-one to help build confidence and success! Every time I take on a new student, I learn more through the process of teaching them. That's the greatest gift of this job!

I have learning differences and so do my two sons, who are now 16 and 19 years old. Being a teacher, and a mom, with learning differences has been a fascinating experience! It’s helped me develop a ton of strategies for both typical and neurodiverse learners…because everyone learns differently, after all, and everyone can learn successfully. Making learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful is the key for students of all ages.

I am experienced, creative, organized, patient, flexible, and positive. I can help with a wide range of areas, from academics to executive functioning, in areas that students find challenging.
