Hello! I’m a licensed English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher with a BA in English Literature (summa cum laude with distinction) from CU Boulder, along with an MA in English Literature and an MA in Education. I currently teach full time with a specialization in supporting students with learning disabilities and strengthening reading comprehension. In 2024, I was honored with the Colorado Department of Higher Education’s Future Educator Award, recognizing my commitment to student success. Over the past seven years, I’ve taught learners across middle school, high school, and undergraduate levels, and I’m comfortable supporting students from kindergarten through adult education.

I tutor a wide range of literacy and humanities skills, including reading comprehension, writing development, essay support, test preparation, and K–12 social studies content. My approach is structured and student-centered: each session begins with targeted questions and individualized support, and whenever time allows, I include a curriculum-aligned mini-lesson to build deeper skills in a specific area. My goal is to help every learner feel confident, capable, and equipped with strategies they can use long after the session ends.

Before beginning lessons, I offer a free 15-minute consultation so students and families can ask questions, discuss goals, and determine the best plan moving forward. I also have a 2-hour cancellation policy to help maintain consistent scheduling. I always send a reminder of these policies by email before we begin working together.

If you’re looking for personalized, compassionate, and research-informed support in literacy, writing, or social studies, I’d love to connect. Please reach out to learn more or to schedule your first session—I look forward to helping you or your student thrive!
