I teach "Success Strategies" at the college level and enjoy teaching study skills and offering homework help (except for math) for high school and college students with ADHD. I also enjoy tutoring creatives who need a little left-brain help to get their dreams ready for the world.

In addition to my three master's degrees (School Counseling, Art Therapy, and Instructional and Learning Technologies) I have a BFA in Drawing and Painting. I really enjoy being an art tutor. I like themed drawing for kids (Kawaii, Pokemon, Anime, drawing animals & mythical creatures). Art Journaling, mixed media, freeform mandalas & botanical drawing for teens and adults.

I have ADHD. I am a professor and creative who has learned how to take effective notes, write well, complete projects, set goals, and manage time. I have a master's degree in school counseling and have been teaching college-level success strategies courses since 2001.

I have taught drawing and art classes to children and adults in many settings and art history at the college level. I have a BFA in Drawing and Painting and a master's degree in Art Therapy. I believe that 98% of people can learn how to draw if they have the desire to. Everyone can be (and is) creative in their own way. I love to draw and paint and do so every day. It also makes me so happy to see the pleasure others get from learning how to self-express through art.

Please contact me for tutoring in my two specialty areas: study skills and fine art. I only work online. I really look forward to working with you!

Thanks so much for your kind words and the great review, Nancy!

Kind, patient, and expertly knowledgeable tutor.

Gayle can teach a variety of drawing and art techniques. She is very kind and patient. My 7 year old son looks forward to his drawing lesson every week and engages in lively conversation while learning to draw the characters, topics, and techniques that interest him. After the lesson she always sends me a detailed report. His skill level has improved, as has his confidence in both drawing and conversation!

Excellent study skills support

Gayle has worked with my 15-year-old son over the last semester to help him develop higher-level organization and study skills. During that time he has shown a significant improvement in his ability to create a structured homework time, an organized plan of attack, and has increased his overall confidence towards school. I would highly recommend her!

Very Knowledgable

My session with Gayle focused on executive functioning. She's very knowlegeable in this area and I learned a lot about my learning style during my first session. She shared some valuable tools and suggestions that I can use to help improve my executive functioning skills.

Grace is a compassionate Executive Function coach

We have nothing but pleasant experience with Grace and we are so fortunate to have found a well seasoned EF coach who genuinely cares about her clients. We have had several sessions with her and it has helped my daughter (high school junior with adhd) immensely! Thank you Gayle!

Great Class!

Gayle is very knowledgeable about art and is a great tutor! She's taught me many aspects of art and has made it far easier to understand than guides or tutorials online. I've enjoyed our sessions and look forward to more in the future!

Knows her subject matter

As a mentor, Gayle really helped boost my daughter's self-esteem, giving her some valuable self-insights and tips to help her succeed in school and life. We noticed a difference in our daughter's attitude immediately. We have sought out a similar in-person counselor in our area, but had not found someone our daughter connected with before. So glad to find someone who helps motivate our daughter to set goals and stay focused!

Great Start

My daughter's first session for achieving better study skills was excellent with Gayle B. It is obvious that Gayle has in-depth experience in helping with study strategies and tailors her sessions for each individual student. She also has a good understanding for the challenges that come with ADD. Look forward to what's to come.
