With the right guidance, these subjects can become much more approachable, understandable, and rewarding. I help students move beyond frustration and memorization so they can build real understanding and lasting confidence.

My online sessions are interactive, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. We work through concepts carefully, solve problems together, and use helpful resources to make difficult topics easier to understand. My goal is for students to leave each session feeling more confident, more prepared, and more in control of the material.

I focus on teaching in a way that makes sense, not just for the next test, but for long-term success. I use clear explanations and real-world applications to help students connect what they are learning to how science works in everyday life. When students understand the “why” behind a concept, they are often far more motivated and better equipped to master it.

I have a MS degree in Cell and Molecular Biology as well as extensive training at the doctorate level in Biochemistry. Over the years, I have worked in biomedical research where I used this knowledge and lab training to assist in cancer research and other research studies. In addition, I have teaching experience in this subject at the college level.
Biology

I have earned both a BS degree in Biology and a MS in Cell & Molecular Biology. In addition, I have completed advanced coursework in this field at the doctorate level. Over the years , I have taught Biology classes at both the high school and college level. I currently tutor Biology to students across the US via Wyzant.
Chemistry

I hold two degrees in Chemistry, BS and MS. In addition, I have many years of teaching and tutoring experience, plus laboratory and research work experience. Chemistry requires both an understanding of basic chemical concepts along with learning problem-solving skills. I work hard to help students master both as we study this challenging subject.

Amazing Chemistry Tutor!!! Highly Recommended!!!

When I started my Chemistry course, I found the lectures to be very confusing and difficult to understand. I knew I needed extra help if I wanted to pass the course. I found Donna on WyzAnt and started tutoring right away. Donna helped me build a strong foundation for chemistry. She is very knowledgeable about the subject and can explain it very well.
