As a fun, encouraging, and versatile tutor, I specialize in helping students build skills and confidence across a wide range of subjects. My areas of expertise include English Language Arts for grades K–12, Orton-Gillingham and Lindamood-Bell–style phonics instruction for developing readers, and all levels of elementary and middle school mathematics. I also teach Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Spanish, in which I’m fluent as a native speaker. In addition, I offer comprehensive SAT and ACT test preparation, drawing on my own experience as a top scorer — I achieved a perfect 36 on the ACT.
My teaching approach is engaging, structured, and highly personalized. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to match individual needs and learning styles. Whether a student is decoding phonics, mastering algebraic concepts, or preparing for college entrance exams, I focus on helping them truly understand the material rather than simply memorizing it. I am a capable and experienced tutor in all sorts of formats: whole class, group, 1-on-1, in-person and online. I strive to make each session positive, motivating, and effective so that students not only improve their academic performance but also gain confidence and curiosity along the way.
